My hope is that my journey with amputation, will enlighten, inform and let those women with an amputation know that life is precious, that life does go on. There will always be the highs, the lows, the successes and the setbacks in our lives, but we face them as we face everything, straight ahead and on track.

I hope I can help relate to other women amputees who are facing a new challenge in their life, the same challenge all amputees face daily. Life, as I've said many times on this website, goes on. We're here on this earth for such a short time, it would be a shame to waste it on feeling sorry for ourselves or being bitter. We've been handed this obstacle to overcome, and with the help of each other, family and friends, we will do exactly that! We've planned our lives out, right now it's just a slightly different life than the one we had planned. I am an example of that fact.
